The growing  number of Nepalese people expatriates abroad and the increasing importance of remittance  as a source of government revenue at home brought the concept of Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA)  to its fore. NRNA was established with the purpose of uniting and binding the Nepali Diaspora under one umbrella on 11 October, 2003. In the course of completing 15 years of its existence NRNA has developed into a non-governmental global organization and a network of Nepali origin by establishing National Coordination Council (NCC) in 81 countries to represent its interests, concerns and commitments.

Meanwhile, the people who live in different nations feel the importance of NRNA NCC and exercises to develop the organizations all over the world. Accordingly, NRNA living in different parts of Spain felt necessary to unite and work collaboratively being affiliated to NRNA. Meantime, social activists, Mr. Dik Bahadur karki and his team took initiation and played an admirable role in establishment of NRNA NCC Spain for nations and Nepalese community living in Spain.
